FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: system for monitoring the structure movements (1) contains at least one inertial measuring device (5) fixed to the structure for recording instantaneous angular velocities and acceleration values in the inertial coordinate system fixed relative to the Earth. A central module (11) determines the monitored value based on the instantaneous angular velocities and the acceleration values by means of the navigation algorithm. In addition, an output module (12) is provided for outputting the monitored value. The central module (11) is configured to detect and/or correct a measurement error of the inertial measuring device (5) based on the boundary condition specified by the structure, and the central module (11) is configured to determine the boundary condition based on at least one information from the group, comprising: a substantially stationary position of the structure (1), a restriction of the movement freedom degree of at least one structural element (1), an inclination angle of at least one element of the structure (1), an average movement value of at least one element of the structure (1) and/or of the inertial measuring device (5). Wherein the reliability and efficiency improvement of vehicle monitoring and the possibility of planning the maintenance or estimating the residual service life of vehicle components are ensured.
