FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for bending glass hemispheres contains a heating chamber, vertically moving under with counterweights, a hoisting and lowering hearth mechanism by means of attached rod, a vacuum system connected with the heating chamber, and a heat shield mounted on the outer part of the composite hearth made in the form of a truncated cone with a lid of the toroidal shape, located on top of the truncated cone, a plate restricting the movement of the central part of the hearth. The apparatus is equipped with a flap with a spherical curvature of the surface, made of heat-resistant steel. A telescopic rack is installed on the plate outside the zone of bending, in the upper part of which a yoke is installed on the axis with a retainer and a guide with the slot, ensuring the flap rotation. In the guide there is a rod with a rotary handle, the other end of the rod is connected to the flap guide and the central part of the flap by means of a pressure spring strip.

EFFECT: reduction of bending time.
