FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: anode for generating X-ray radiation has a holder and a target layer held by the holder. Herewith the target layer includes a middle portion and an edge portion. The anode is provided to be exposed to the electron beam directed to the middle portion of the target layer. Herewith the edge portion with respect to the direction of the electron beam is located side by side with the middle portion. In addition, the edge portion in the direction of the electron beam has a greater thickness than the middle portion. The device (300) has a collector (340) that is provided to collect electrons from the electron beam (320) that have penetrated through the anode (400), whereby the electric circuit is closed between the cathode and the collector 340 by means of the said collector (340), so that the electrons collected by the collector (340) return back through the electric circuit.
EFFECT: increasing the device efficiency.
