FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cartomizer for a steam generation system which comprises a container for holding a liquid container for evaporation therein; evaporation chamber; porous wick exiting the container through an opening in the wall of the evaporation chamber and entering the evaporation chamber, which serves to transfer liquid from the container to the evaporation chamber for evaporation; and an elastic seal located in said opening, which serves to restrict liquid supply from container into evaporation chamber by any other method, except by wick; wherein said elastic seal is made in the form of a cup-type seal, which is a resilient ridge formed on the inner surface of the opening and at least partially protruding inside the opening, wherein the cup-type seal is compressed and/or deflected by the wick when the wick is inserted into the hole.
EFFECT: provides for evaporation of smoking compound.
