SUBSTANCE: source of polarization-entangled photons with the greatest possible degree of entanglement contains, at least, one element consisting of dual nonlinear positive or negative uniaxial crystals parametrically scattering the pump beam of continuous or pulsed laser radiation in a frequency-degenerate regime. Herewith the principal pumping planes of these crystals are oriented at a certain optimum angle, different from ninety degrees.

EFFECT: elimination of the Migdall effect influence and an increase in the degree of entanglement of the photon states.
