FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: sick cat or dog to 8 kg is connected to an extracorporeal circuit and the blood to be purified is directed via the blood line of the extracorporeal circuit to the dialyzer and then, after dialyzer passage, the purified blood of the animal is returned via the blood line. The perfusion rate of blood during the hemodialysis procedure is 1.5-6 ml per minute per kilogram of animal weight, and the filling volume of the extracorporeal circuit is from 14 to 50 ml, depending on the weight of the animal undergoing hemodialysis.
EFFECT: purification of cats and dogs blood from uremic toxins and stabilization of blood acid-ionic composition.
