METHOD OF TREATING RENAL INSUFFICIENCY IN DOMESTIC ANIMALS BY APPLYING HAEMODIALYSIS PROCEDURE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61M1/14

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science. Performing procedure for extrarenal purification of blood from toxins. Main indicators are measured urea and serum creatine blood in the process of blood purification procedures, based on the obtained data, determining the IDI index - the index of the dialysis intensity as the ratio of the entire volume of the patient's fluid to the volume of the liquid purified from toxins, and IUTI index is index of uremic toxins increase as value of increase in amount of urea or creatine per unit time. Need for a repeated hemodialysis procedure with an IUTI on urea of more than 0.5, and/or an IUTI on creatine of more than 8 and/or an index of IDI less than 0.9 is determined. In particular, to prevent thrombosis, an animal is administered an intravenous anticoagulant dalteparin 35 IU/kg of body weight, followed by an intravenous drop introduction at rate of 15 IU/kg / h.

EFFECT: method enables to determine IUTI indices on urea and creatine in each interdialysis interval, to see changes of filtration capacity of kidneys and to predict necessity of recurrence of next hemodialysis or absence of such necessity of hemodialysis; use of this procedure significantly prolongs life of animal.
