FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to enrichment of isotope gaseous mixtures, in particular a mixture of isotopes U235 and U238, near-indistinguishable in terms of molecular weight, but differing in the level of radioactivity. The method of enrichment of gaseous isotope mixtures comprises rotating and accelerating the mixture by means of a gas centrifuge, moving the mixture in the radial direction, forming a turbulent flow at the outer side edge of the centrifuge, selecting fractions from the turbulent flow in one turbulent flow zone, removing the mixture of fractions from the centrifuge, determining concentration of the isotope during the movement of the mixture outside the centrifuge, separating the mixture into enriched and depleted fractions by directing the mixture with an isotope concentration equal to or higher than the given value through one channel, and the mixture with an isotope concentration lower then the given value - through another channel. The gas centrifuge comprises a hermetic fixed housing in the form of a vertical cylinder, a rotating rotor coaxially disposed therein, made in the form of a shaft provided with a rigidly fixed blade, a protruding element for forming the turbulent flow fixed to the inner side surface of the centrifuge housing, a mixture output channel with an inlet located at the outer side edge of the centrifuge in the turbulent flow zone behind the protruding element in the travel direction of the gas mixture, and an inlet for supplying the base mixture. On the part of the output channel located outside the centrifuge, a branch for two channels is made provided with a bypass switching valve, and before the branch a spectrometer is placed whose output is connected to the ECM input whose output is connected to the input of an electromechanical converter of the bypass switching valve.
EFFECT: increase in the enrichment level of the gas isotope mixture and economically advantageous enrichment of isotopes by reducing the number of centrifuges.
