FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: gas centrifuge contains a hermetic immovable case in the form of a vertical cylinder, a gyrating rotor, coaxially placed in the case, made in the form of a shaft and equipped with a blade rigidly fixed on it with a projecting element, selection tubes of separated fractions, channels for the output of the separated fractions, brought outside through the rotor shaft and having placed on different height horizontal sections with radially distant from the case longitudinal axis input openings, with horizontal sections of the selection tubes being placed inside each blade, with input openings of the selection tubes being placed on the projecting element of each blade in different zones of turbulence, and an input opening, placed at the bottom of the case, for the supply of an initial gaseous mixture. A method of separation of gaseous mixtures includes the rotation and acceleration of the gaseous mixture by means of the centrifuge, mixing the mixture in a radial direction, formation of a turbulent flow near an external edge of the centrifuge and collection of light and heavy fractions in different zones of the turbulent flow.
EFFECT: increase of the separating ability of the centrifuge and simplification of its construction.
