FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method a touch object with a touch-sensitive region is detected on a mobile device with a set of pairs of electrodes, including the first block of electrode pairs and the second block of electrode pairs. A subset of the first block of electrode pairs is in contact with the applied part of the object and receives electrical signals from each pair from a particular subset. On the basis of the electric signals, the values of the impedances of the relevant parts of the enclosed object are calculated and the ratio of the calculated values of impedances is determined for each pair situated on essentially mutually perpendicular lines of the electrode pairs from the said subset, wherein two pairs are arranged at substantially mutually perpendicular lines of the electrode pairs with the maximum respect to the values of impedances. If the maximum ratio exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the object is identified as an object of living tissue.
EFFECT: improving the reliability of inspection due to the recognition of tissue as a preliminary check when granting access.
