FIELD: medical devices for justice. SUBSTANCE: method involves making photos of tongues of persons under investigation by means of camera with adapter ring in order to produce zoomed image of 1:2 scale; transmission of positions of main convolutions of tongue from picture to tracing paper in order to provide tongue's schema; drawing equation according to which photo and schema are stored in databank. This equation serves as classification (signs, number) for sections which store these documents. Upon identification, method involves reading photo, schema and equation for comparison to documents from data bank. If equation, schema and photo of tongue match (as set of individual recognition features), person is identified. EFFECT: increased precision of identification. 1 ex, 9 dwg
