FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: surgical device includes a replaceable cassette that contains a bag of clips, a trigger actuator and a trigger chamber. The trigger actuator is reciprocable to push the clip out of the cartridge or position the clip in the cartridge. The clips are subsequently fed into the launch chamber of the cartridge along the feed axis. The trigger element moves along the trigger axis to position the clip located in the trigger chamber. The clip feed axis is transverse to the trigger axis.
