FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: for the vaginal fluid pH-measurement, the vaginal fluid biomaterial is sampled to form a contact layer with the reagent. The contact layer is obtained by biomaterial sample mixing with a previously placed drop of indicator reagent on a slide. The pH is determined by comparing the colour of the material layer with the colour of the standard scale. The indicating reagent for vaginal fluid pH determination includes the following components, wt %: methyl yellow 0.0166; methyl red 0.0055; bromothymol blue 0.022; phenolphthalein 0.022; tilthftalein 0.022; ethanol 44.47; water - is the rest.
EFFECT: simplified diagnostics while maintaining accuracy and informativeness.
