SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates primarily to production of multiple packages for cigarettes. At that in the method the group of packets having the encoding primarily barcode, is wrapped in an outer wrapper, so that package encoding is not hidden by the outer wrapper. Then, on the package the means for hiding the package encoding is applied, especially cutting, for example, in the form of adhesive label, and encoding for package. Therefore the package is supplied to a coding section for application of encoding on the outer wrapper and/or for applying means to hide encoding of the package, and the package at least in the area of encoding section is transported through the vehicle actuated step-by-step and encoding and/or means to hide is applied during its brief stop. The multiple package with a group of packages is wrapped on the outer wrapper made at least from partially transparent material so that it is visible through the wrapper or the encoding is readable, primarily barcodes of packages. And the package in the area of encoding of packages has the means to hide the encoding and has its own encoding, and the encoding of packages is hidden by a print on the outer wrapper, which is encoding. A device for manufacturing multiple packages also performed as in the above-described invention, comprises the encoding section for applying means to hide encoding of the packages and/or applying encoding on the package, preferably in the area of encoding of the packages, located along the area of transportation formed by vehicle for packages. The vehicle is actuated step-by-step for applying means to hide and/or apply encoding on the package during its stop.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides increase in accuracy of reading the encoding.
