SUBSTANCE: in the context of the method the input channels are treated in the first data processing channel to apply to each channel a portion of the direct feature and early reflections of a single channel BRIR for that channel, and the combined signal of these channels is processed in the second data channel containing at least one FDN, which uses a common late reverberation. Late reverberation emulates the collective macroscopic defining features of late reverberation portions of at least some of the single-channel BRIR features.

EFFECT: ability to virtualize the generation of a binaural signal in response to channels of a multi-channel input audio signal applying the binaural impulse response of the room to each channel, which includes using at least one feedback delay network for applying a common late reverberation to the combined channel signal.
