SUBSTANCE: system for preparing a predetermined amount of a beverage suitable for consumption, using an extractable product, comprises: a replaceable capsule whose internal space contains the extractable product and the outlet opening part comprises an outlet filter to allow the fluid passage, and a movable part made to open the respective closed opening part by means of moving relative to it. The system also includes a capsule according the prior art, with the extractable product; and a fluid delivery device, a receptacle for retaining the replaceable capsule in the first configuration and capsules according to the prior art - in the second configuration, and a discharge device. In the first configuration, the system is configured to bring the fluid delivery device into the fluid communication with the inlet opening part of the replaceable capsule. The receptacle comprises piercing means for the closing element to pierce the outlet opening capsule part according to the prior art in the second configuration. The device comprises piercing means for the lower part to pierce the lower part of the capsule according to the prior art in the second configuration, to provide an opening for the fluid supply to the extractable product for the beverage preparation. The piercing means for the lower part are separate from the piercing means for the closing element. In the first configuration, the outlet opening part of the replaceable capsule is spaced from the rigid edge to prevent it from being pierced by the piercing means for the closing element, or the outlet filter parameters are selected so that the outlet filter has a sufficiently high tensile strength and/or sufficiently low flow resistance, so that the closing element of the replaceable capsule, when used in the first configuration, is not pierced by means of the piercing means for the closing element.
