FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: gear wheel consists of a body in the form of a disc with a hub and a gear rim with teeth. Between the hub and the gear rim, there are through cylindrical holes arranged sequentially along the circumference coaxial with the gear wheel axis. Each cylindrical hole on both ends of body is covered with a pair of flat plates in the form of discs, which are fixed coaxially to the axis of the cylindrical hole on the surfaces of the body ends, and the diameter of the flat plates exceeds the diameter of the cylindrical hole.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of material when producing the gear wheel and increased reliability of its operation.
