SUBSTANCE: light emitting device for use in the vicinity of mammalian tissue, for example for analgesia, comprises a flexible body having a face surface for accessing mammalian tissue and an opposite rear surface. The flexible body accommodates at least one light source configured to irradiate the irradiation area of the mammalian tissue. Thermal insulation layer covers the rear surface of the flexible body. The thermal insulation layer has a larger surface area than the flexible body. The group of inventions also relates to a set of parts for such a light-emitting device and to a method of assembling such a light-emitting device.
