FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: disclosure provides a method of operation of a data logger for recording the sensor data from an absorbing product having at least one sensor, while the method comprises of: determining an external event; and, in determining the external event, the transition from the first operation mode to the second operation mode. The external event can be an event selected from: a detachment event in which the data logger is disconnected from the absorbing product; an attachment event in which the data logger is attached to the absorbing product; a charging event in which the data logger is connected to a charging station; and user interaction events, in which the user interacts with an element of the user interface in the data logger. The first and second operation modes can be selected from: data logging mode; standby mode; status notification mode; and data transmission mode. The present disclosure also provides a data logger for recording the sensor data from an absorbing product having at least one sensor, while the data logger comprises of: a processor configured to determine an external event and, when determining the external event, a transition from the first operation mode to second operation mode.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the quality of control of the absorption process.
