FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: curing agent contains one or more amines containing one or more amino groups of formula
where R represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R1 and R2 each independently represents an alkyl group containing from 1 to 12 C atoms; Y represents a hydrogen atom; the dashed line in formula (I) denotes the bond between the said substituent and the remainder of the molecule. The method for preparing a curing agent is that reductive alkylation of, at least, one primary amine with one or more carbonyl compounds of formula
where R, R1, R2, Y have the above meanings. The epoxy resin composition comprises, at least, one epoxy resin and, at least, one of the above curing agent. The cured composition is prepared by curing the above composition. Products are produced from the epoxy composition.
EFFECT: invention provides a low viscosity curing agent that rapidly cures epoxy resins in wet and cold conditions to form non-clouded coatings with high hardness and stability.
