SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an epoxy coating composition containing a resin component containing at least one epoxy resin and a curing component containing at least one amine of Formula (I), where n is 0 or 1, R is a hydrogen radical or methyl, and X is a radical selected from a group consisting of an alkyl, an alkoxy, and a dialkylamino, in each case containing from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, wherein, if n is 0, the curing component additionally contains at least one amine A, containing at least three amine hydrogen atoms and having a molecular weight of at least 200 g/mol, which does not correspond to Formula (I); in this case, the specified amine A is selected from a group consisting of (i) an adduct formed from at least one polyamine having from 2 to 12 carbon atoms, and at least one aromatic monoepoxide, (ii) an adduct formed from at least one polyamine having 2 to 12 carbon atoms and at least one aromatic diepoxide; and (iii) polyether polyiamine. The invention also relates to a coating, a cured composition and a curing component, the use of amine as a component of the hardener for epoxy resins, and a method for diluting the hardener for epoxy resins.

EFFECT: composition is characterized by good processibility, fast curing ability, high hardness, attractive surface and low tendency to yellowing.
