FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: spent alloys with content of molybdenum from 40 to 99.99% are used as leaching material. Method includes stages: (a) reaction of the material with acid leach solution of sulfuric acid with concentration of up to 4 g/l in the presence of association of sulfide reducing bacteria of mesophilic microorganisms of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans type and ferroplasmoids, and trivalent iron with concentration from 8 to 24 g/l, (b) leaching and (c) evaporating molybdenum solution to produce molybdenum salts (molybdenum blue) with iron impurities that may be used as a catalyst, dye or raw material for production of pure molybdenum. The leaching stage is carried out at pH ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 and temperature of 18-35°C.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of molybdenum extraction from spent alloy.
