FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the metallurgy. To obtain a molybdenum containing granulate, spent molybdenum containing catalysts are loaded into a calcining rotary furnace and at temperature of 135–180 °C sulfur and moisture are removed. Obtained product is dissipated and a ceramic component and a dusty fraction are separated. Remaining material is repeatedly loaded into calcining furnace and at 170–350 °C secondary removal of sulfur and carbon is carried out. Finished material in form of molybdenum containing granulate is obtained at the outlet.
EFFECT: invention enables to neutralize hazardous wastes at relatively low temperatures to obtain a granulate for alloying steel.
