SUBSTANCE: method of demodulation and decoding of the signal accepted from the communication channel signal, which contains a message consisting of message digits, wherein to determine the message digit: make assessment of a set of possible phase increments through application of the linear filter to a set of the sequences of M modulation results on Q states by phase manipulation of possible sequential message digits, the cumulative phase of the previous iteration of the method is added to each of the indicated possible phase increments to obtain assessment phase, define the message digit by selecting the possible sequential digits, the assessment phase of which is closest to the accepted signal.
EFFECT: providing demodulation of signals modulated on Q states by frequency manipulation using a Gaussian filter, which requires minimum of material resources while maintaining good demodulation and decoding quality.
