SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an effective flame retardant 2,4,6-tris(9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-oxo-10-phosphafenanthrene-10-ylamino)-1,3,5-triazine and a method of

producing flame retardant compounds of formula , where the residue R1 is selected from -NH2, -NH2, -NH2-zAz, as well as form monovalent alkyl and aryl residues, the residues A are independently selected from the phosphoryl residues DOPO-, DPhPO- and DPhOPO-, and the indices x, y, and z independently of one another are 0 or 1, where, at least, one of the indices is not 0, wherein at the first stage melamine or, where R1 is an alkyl or aryl residue, the corresponding alkyl or aryl guanamine interacts with one or more of the corresponding phosphinyl dichlorides DOP-Cl, DPhP-Cl, and DPhOP-Cl to bind one or more phosphinyl residues to an amino group (or groups) of melamine or guanamine, and at the second stage the phosphinyl residue or residues are oxidized to the corresponding phosphoryl residue or residues by reaction with an oxidant.

EFFECT: new effective flame retardant and a new efficient method of producing flame retardant compounds.
