FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: devices for the base support in a circle are placed. The circle defines the periphery of the tank being manufactured. The metal strip is formed by welding said metal sheets in a fixed chamber for vertical welding and aligning said sheets. Said welding of the metal sheets includes a step in which said metal sheets are aligned vertically by means of two vertical presses. Said welding of the metal sheets is performed by means of robot devices moving along the installed vertical rails on both sides of said vertical presses to form a metal strip. The ends of the metal strip are connected to each other to form the first ring. Said first ring is lifted up to the upper ring. The subsequent metal strip is simultaneously formed by horizontal welding between the first and upper rings. Each base support device comprises of two devices for guiding the rings.

EFFECT: increase in speed of tank manufacturing.
