FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for transporting hydrocarbon gas includes preparation of field gas by its drying, increase of gas pressure up to 10-12 MPa, preliminary cooling to temperatures 260-270 k, subsequent cooling to temperatures 200-210 k and increase of pressure up to calculated values of not less than 20 MPa, a pressure gradient of pressure along the gas pipeline path and heat insulation of gas pipeline walls is maintained at a rate up to 5 m/s to maintain stable temperature conditions. The pressure gradient is maintained along the gas pipeline path and heat insulation of gas pipeline walls is maintained for stable temperature mode.
EFFECT: use of proposed method for transporting hydrocarbon gas in supercritical state enables to increase the capacity of the main gas pipeline almost in 2 times and considerably reduce specific energy consumption for transport at other equal technical parameters of the pipeline.
