FIELD: gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method of drying includes preparation of pipelines and compressor yard (CY) equipment, connection of the mobile nitrogen compressor unit to the drain valve of the inlet pipeline of CY, connection of portable devices for measuring dew point of water (DPw) temperature on each CY manifold, start-up of nitrogen compressor plant, displacement of air or gas-air mixture from manifolds and equipment of CY with blowing to plug pipelines, plug pipelines shutoff and DPw primary measurement, nitrogen pressure rise in gas communications to working values, start-up of one gas compressor unit (GCU) in “ring” mode, maintaining the operation of the GCU in the “ring” mode while observing the conditions for ensuring hydrodynamic characteristics (HDC) and the operating operation requirements (hereinafter referred to as OR) of the GCU with a constantly operating mobile nitrogen compressor unit with periodical undercutting of the manifold through plug valves, making DPw measurements in inlet manifold, maintaining the operation of the GCU in the "main line" mode while observing the conditions for providing the HDC and the requirements of the OR for the GCU with a constantly operating mobile nitrogen compressor unit with periodical undercutting of the manifold through plug valves, making DPw measurements in all manifolds. When values DPw in manifolds of CY, corresponding to design ones, are achieved, GCU is stopped and circuit of CY is released.

EFFECT: reduced number of operations and used equipment.
