STABILIZATION AND ANALYSIS OF FATTY ACIDS IN BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE WHEN STORED ON SOLID MEDIUM Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01N33/48 G01N30/50 G01N33/92 A61B5/15 C11B5/00 G01N1/36

Abstract RU 2639455 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of stabilizing fatty acids present in the sample, such as biological fluids (e.g., blood, saliva, breast milk, urine, semen, plasma and blood serum), wherein the method involves applying fatty acids or the sample containing fatty acids to the solid medium that contains a firm substrate, at least, one chelate-forming tool, and, at least, one antioxidant, where a solid substrate contains less than 2 μg/cm2 of impurities where impurities constitute one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of saturated fatty acids, esters of saturated fatty acids, resin acids and esters of resin acids. The present invention further relates to the method of determining the composition of fatty acids in the sample when stored on such medium. Wherein the method involves: (a) applying the sample to the solid medium containing a solid substrate, at least, one chelate-forming tool, and, at least, one antioxidant, where the solid substrate contains less than 2 μg/cm2 of impurities, whereby the sample becomes sorbed on the solid substrate; (b) determining the composition of fatty acids in the sample, sorbed on the solid substrate, where impurities are one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of saturated fatty acids, esters of saturated fatty acids, resin acids and esters of resin acids. The invention also relates to a solid medium and a method for its production.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency.
