SUBSTANCE: epilation device (1) has a body (2) forming a handle (4), and the first and second shoulder portions (6, 8) forming an open fork (10). The grip portion (12) is mounted in the fork (10) to rotate about its axis so that an opening (20) is formed through the device (1) from the front side (22) of the body (2) to the rear side (24) of the body (2), the opening (20) being limited by the handle (4), shoulder portions (6, 8) and the grip portion (12). The drive mechanism (36) located inside the body (2) is adapted to apply rotational motion to rotate the grip portion (12) about the axis.

EFFECT: by provision of an opening through the epilator body from the front to the back, accumulation of hair and dirt under the grip portion is prevented.
