SUBSTANCE: device comprises a central processing unit; a communication interface configured to establish communication between the device and the financial institution related to the financial account; an interface for obtaining data related to the financial account; a secure element for processing at least a portion of the data related to the financial account received through the interface; and a control logic designed with the possibility of obtaining the purchase amount to be debited from the financial account and for obtaining a transaction authorization for performing a secure financial transaction from the financial institution related to the financial account. Transaction authorization is at least partially based on the data processed exclusively by the secure element, regardless of the data processed by the central processing unit. The method describes operation of the device.
