FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in dry coke quenching plants. The dry coke quenching plant comprises a vertically oriented shaft, in the upper part of which there is a pre-chamber 1, an extinguishing chamber 2 with system of oblique strokes 3, which lower part is in the form of a cone for unloading the coke, gas circulation system 4, coke discharge means 11. The gas circulation system 4 comprises a hopper-dust collector 5, a heat recovery boiler 6, a cyclone 7, a blow fan 8, a spark plug 9 and a blowing device 10. Measurement of temperature of hot circulating gases in oblique strokes 3 behind the extinguishing chamber 2 before addition of air thereto for afterburning the combustible components, on the basis of which the quantity of heat is determined (Q1) sent by circulating gases by one kilogram of hot coke and quantity of heat (Q2) received from hot coke by one cubic meter of circulating gases under normal conditions. The ratio Q1 to Q2 is specific consumption of circulating gases. A device for automatic determination of specific consumption of circulating gases of the coke dry quenching plant contains at least one sensor 13 of temperature of hot circulating gases in oblique strokes 3 behind the extinguishing chamber 2 before adding air thereto for afterburning the combustible components, a unit of table values of coke and gases thermal capacities at different temperatures, the first calculation unit Q1, the second calculation unit Q2 connected at the input with said temperature sensors and the table value unit, the third calculation unit for specific consumption of circulating gases connected at the input to said first and second units.

EFFECT: invention provides automatic continuous determination of specific consumption of circulating gases in dry coke quenching plants.
