FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: method for preparing milk samples by gas chromatography method is used, including preparing a sample to be tested. For the preparation, 15-45 g of milk to be tested with a fat weight fraction of 2-6% are taken, 20 cm3 of an organic solvent are added, stirred for 3-5 minutes in a magnetic agitator, then 0.1-0.2 ml of 45-55% citric acid solution are added, and stirred again for 3-6 min. The mixture is then centrifuged for 5-7 minutes with a relative acceleration of 3350-4560 RCF. As an organic solvent, hexane, heptane, isooctane, or a mixture thereof can be used. The isolated organic extract is used for preparing methyl esters of fatty acids and their study by gas chromatography method.

EFFECT: reducing the sample preparation time, reducing the number of solvent spent more than 7 times, reducing the analysis process cost, a minimum amount of equipment.
