FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: cutoff valve device has a body, inlet and outlet unions, pilot mechanism consisting of a horizontal piston and a vertical rod interacting with each other, a cocking mechanism, a saddle and a gate connected by the rod with the vertical rod. Between the bodies of the pilot mechanism and the cutoff valve there is a medium separator made in the form of a cylinder with a piston and filled with a medium with a low freezing point. A media separator piston and the vertical rod of the pilot mechanism are provided with sealing rings.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the pilot mechanism operation, especially at low ambient temperatures and contaminated transported media.
