FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method for producing benzene from alkyl aromatic hydrocarbons C6-C9 in two successive adiabatic thermal and catalytic reactors. The process is carried out successively in a thermal reactor of ideal displacement at a temperature of 700-750°C at a pressure of 4.1-4.5 MPa, and then in a catalytic one at a temperature of 580-595°C at a pressure of 4.1-4.5 MPa. The first reactor is fed a mixture of raw materials with hydrogen in a molar ratio of 1:4-10, and the second one - in a molar ratio of 1:2-6.
EFFECT: method is simpler and more economical.
