FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: horizontal batch adsorber contains a cylindrical body with covers and a bottom. The covers are spherical and mounted to the left and to the right of the horizontally arranged cylindrical body. In the upper part of the cylindrical body there are loading hatches with safety membranes, a union for discharging vapours during desorption and a union for safety valve. In the left cover there is a fitting with a distribution grid for supplying a steam-air mixture during adsorption and air during drying and cooling. An adsorbent bed is positioned in the middle part of the body, on the beams with supports that support a fire grate, on which the grid line is laid. On the upper grid, covering the adsorbent layer, weights are arranged to prevent adsorbent entrainment during desorption. The waste adsorbent is discharged through at least two discharge hatches arranged symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis of the body. An inspection hatch with a union for discharging condensate and supplying water are mounted in the bottom of the body. The bubbler is made along the entire length of the body in the form of at least one perforated cylindrical tube and fixed to the bottom surface by means of spacers. The perforation coefficient of the cylindrical bubbler surface lies in the optimum range of values: K=0.5…0.9, and the ratio of the length L of the cylindrical part of the body to its diameter D is in the optimum ratio of the quantities: L/D=1.5…5.0; the ratio of the length L of the cylindrical body part to the thickness S of its wall is in the optimum ratio of the quantities: L/S=300…1125; the ratio of the height of the adsorbent layer H1 to the length L of the cylindrical housing part is in the optimum ratio of the values: H1/L=0.05…0.27. The adsorbent is made in the form of at least three coaxially located hemispherical surfaces connected to each other with a clearance by means of a fastening member through axially symmetric positioning elements in the form of rings. Between the hemispherical surfaces, corrugated elements having a shape of a generatrix surface equidistant to the hemispherical surfaces are fixed on the spacer elements, or the stop elements in the adsorbent are in the form of cylindrical helical springs.
EFFECT: increased degree of purification of the gas stream from the target component and dust.
