SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compounds of the formula II
,
where R is H, OH, OCH3, or two R taken together form -OCH2O- or -OCF2O-; R1 is H or up to two C1-C6alkyls; R2 is H or halogen; and R3 is H or C1-C6 alkyl; R3 is H or C1-C6 alkyl; Y is O or NR4; and R4 is H or C1-C6 alkyl, and their pharmaceutical compositions useful as modulators of ATP-binding cassette ("ABC") transporters, or fragments thereof, including a cystic fibrosis transmembrane conduction regulator ("CFTR"). This invention also relates to methods for treatment of diseases mediated by ABC transporters using the compounds of the invention.
