FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device for application of a coating by centrifuging method comprises a coating device tank, the structure of which is designed so that it collects excess coating material that is dropped from the optical flat onto which it is applied. The device also includes a rotatable holder, the structure of which is designed so that it receives and rotates the optical flat contained in the tank of the coating device. In addition, the device comprises several coating tanks, each comprising a coating (material) composition for selectively coating an optical flat. Also, the device comprises an indexable platform with coating tanks, comprising a plurality of tanks and moving the selected coating tank in stages to a dispensing position above the tank of the coating device. The device for application of the coating by centrifuging method may comprise a tank configured to collect excess coating material discarded from the coated optical flat. Each coating tank comprises a coating material for selectively coating the optical flat. Each coating tank comprises an elongated barrel and a movable piston for discharging the coating material from the coating tank, and each tank with the coating composition discharges the coating material through a valveless outlet located at the outer end of the barrel. The indexed platform on which the coating tanks are located is arranged to move the selected coating tank to a dispensing position that is located above the tank of the coating device. The platform with the coating tanks further comprises a dispenser that is located in the dispensing position. The spraying device is adapted to engage in a dispensing position with a movable piston of a selected coating tank to release a predetermined amount of coating material from the selected coating tank. In addition, the device may comprise at least one curing unit. Each curing unit is independently configured to selectively and at least partially cure at least one coating material applied to the optical substrate. Each curing unit independently comprises at least one of the following: a thermal curing unit; UV curing unit; an infrared curing unit and combinations of at least two of the units.
