SUBSTANCE: moving bed module for escalator or travolator has at least two support structures and at least one guide rail. Each support structure includes at least two supports (66A, 66B) and at least one cross tie (67), wherein the cross tie (67) is located between at least two supports (66A, 66B) and connects them to each other. Each support (66A, 66B) has a base fastening zone (68) which is fixed to the support structure (51) in the mounted state. Further, on each support (66A, 66B), a balustrade fastening zone (85) is formed in which at least one part of the balustrade (57A, 57B) is fixed in the mounted state, so that the static and dynamic loads acting on the balustrade (57A, 57B) can be transmitted directly through the supports (66A, 66B) to the support structure (51). The module is a part of the escalator or travolator and is used in the implementation of their installation method, as well as their modernization method.
