Emergency brake comprises, at least, one locking element (21) located so that it by means of rotary motion occupies release position or blocking. In locking position locking element (21) includes at least one movable part (18) moving stairway or moving walkways, blocking its. Besides, emergency brake comprises linear guide (23), through which locking element (21) linearly displaces between first position (25) and second position (26). Linear guide (23) is located on fixed part (5) of moving stairway or moving walkways by rotation axis (22).
EFFECT: invention provides higher braking reliability.
