SUBSTANCE: first invention relates to an escalator with a ladder leaf or a travelator with a bed of platforms having a first direction change zone and a second direction change zone. Bed of platforms, respectively, track, located, circulating on a closed trajectory, between the first zone of change of direction and the second zone of change of direction. Escalator or a travelator contains at least one guide track running between the change zones of the direction for guiding the stairway or canvas from the pads, and also at least one support between the change zones of the direction for supporting the at least one guiding running rail. At least one support has several insertion parts (101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106), which in the assembled state can be inserted one into another with the help of plug-in connections (111, 121, 131) with the formation of box-shaped main part (100) of the support. Second invention relates to a method for manufacturing and mounting said support. Third invention relates to a method for upgrading an escalator or a travelator with said support.
