FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: hybrid vehicle control system contains the first and second electronic control units for the engine and electric rotary machine, respectively. The second control unit outputs the engine control signal to the first control unit by communicating with the first control unit. The first control unit manages the motor in accordance with the engine control signal received from the second control unit, in the absence of communication failure with the second control unit. The first unit controls the fixed operation, in which the engine is controlled such that one value of the rotation speed, output power, and output torque becomes equal to the fixed value when communication with the second control unit fails.

EFFECT: vehicle is moved in the event of a fault between control units.
