SUBSTANCE: method, performed by the network node (210), for sending to the wireless device (250) a first synchronization signal and an associated information message for synchronizing the wireless device (250) with the network node (210), is proposed. The network node (210) and the wireless device (250) operate in a wireless communication network (200). The network node (210) sends the first synchronization signal in N OFDM symbols within the subframe at least once in a certain time-frequency position in each of the N OFDM symbols, where N is greater than or equal to 2. For each sending of the first synchronization signal, the network node (210) sends the associated information message at a predetermined time-frequency position in the OFDM symbol. The predetermined time-frequency position is set relative to the time-frequency position of the first synchronization signal. The associated information message is associated with the first synchronization signal.
