SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technology and can be used in wireless communication systems. To increase the reliability of communication by synchronizing the communication elements, the network node (210) and the wireless device (250) operate in a wireless communication network (200). The network node (210) sends the first synchronization signal in N OFDM characters within the subframe at least once at some time-frequency position in each of the N OFDM characters, wherein N is greater than or equal to 2. For each sending of the first synchronization signal, the network node (210) sends an associated information message at the specified time-frequency position in the OFDM symbol. The specified time-frequency position is set relative to the time-frequency position of the first synchronization signal. The associated information message is associated with the first synchronization signal.

EFFECT: increased reliability of communication by synchronizing the communication elements.
