FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises carrying out the polymerization of norborene in the presence of components of catalyst [(acac)Pd(L)2]BF4, where acac - acetylacetonate, L - substituted anilines such as 2,6-diisopropylaniline, 2,6-dimethylaniline, ortho-methylaniline, para-methylaniline, and etherate of boron trifluoride of formula BF3OEt2. The process is carried out at a molar ratio of boron to palladium B:Pd=20:1-100:1 and a temperature of 25°C in a medium of methylene chloride.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the efficiency of the polymerization of norbornene.
