CALORIC ENGINE UNIT HEATING SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC F24H7/00

Abstract RU 2641775 C1

FIELD: heating system.

SUBSTANCE: system consists of the waste heat exchanger of the exhaust gas heat, the closed loop of the intermediate coolant - the low-boiling liquid, the heat-storing unit, including the heat-storing material, subjected to the reversible melting-crystallization phase transition, the intermediate coolant tube heat exchanger, located between the existing vertical tubes, permeating through the heat-storing unit. The latter is located under the caloric engine unit elements, requiring the heating at negative outside air temperatures - the electric battery, the container with oil and others. The expansion container is connected to the intermediate coolant closed system, and the intermediate coolant evaporator contains the displacement piston in the form of the balls. The heat emission from the heat-storing material of the heat-storing unit is carried out by the natural air convection as it passes through the vertical tubes. The heat storing is provided by passing the caloric engine exhaust gas stream through the waste heat exchanger during the unit operation. The self-adjusting is provided by the presence of the free air volume in the closed expansion container and it is carried out at the heat storing by the displacement of the hot coolant into this container. This self-adjusting heating system is the most effective for unattended units with periodic start caloric engines.

EFFECT: self-adjusting recycling and storing of the caloric engine unit exhaust gases heat energy, the stored heat transfer to the unit elements required heating.
