FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: device contains a working body with cleaning elements, a drive, a traversing mechanism. The working body comprises a longitudinal cutting unit of insulation with disc knives and an insulation removal unit along the perimeter of the pipe, including a flat knife with a heater and a reflector. The device additionally has heating sections with IR heaters in the form of segments with reflectors. The longitudinal cutting, delagging and heating sections units, made on wheel assemblies, are pivotally connected in series with each other. The last heating section is connected to the delagging unit by a spring, closing the circuit around the perimeter of the pipe. The traversing mechanism contains two loops mounted on the surface of the pipe, two chains and shafts from the ends with sprocket of the longitudinal cutting unit and the delagging unit. Each of the chains is directed along the sprockets of the longitudinal cutting unit and the delagging unit. One end of each chain is fixed rigidly to the loop, and the other end of the chain is fixed to the loop through the adjusting gear.
EFFECT: increase the efficiency and quality of cleaning the surface of the pipe from the insulation coating with a shortening of the cleaning time.
