FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: patient monitoring system includes remote patient monitoring system with an ability to generate and/or update patient-specific configuration for the medical corporal LANs system (MBAN) in response to a change in the patient's state, and a MBAN system driven by a patient-specific configuration that includes one or more sensory devices and a concentrating device. Sensory devices are implemented with an ability to measure physiological parameters of the patient, and the concentrating device includes a default configuration, adopted from the remote patient monitoring system, and made with an ability to: track the loss of network connectivity between the concentrating device and remote patient monitoring system. The current configuration of the MBAN system replaces the default configuration in response to the loss of network connectivity, and at least one of the physiological data messages from sensory devices to the remote patient monitoring system and local tracking of physiological data from the sensory devices to generate alarms. The medical method for patient monitoring is implemented by means of a concentrating device of the MBAN medical corporal local area network system.

EFFECT: application of the inventions allows automatic configuration of monitoring devices without or with minimal intervention of medical personnel.
