UNIFICATION OF GEOZONE EVENTS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC H04W4/02

Abstract RU 2642348 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: location of the computing device is determined and the location of the area of interest, i.e. the geographic area, called the geozone, is identified. A plurality of geozones can be identified by the device, and different geozones can be associated with various programmes on the device. The operating system of the device implements many different working periods for the device, including a resource saving period, during which some programmes are not typically scheduled to run, and an implementation period, during which such programmes are typically planned to run. The system identifies geozone events that occur when the device enters or exits the geozone. The system saves a record of events for each of the geozone of the plurality of geozones and provides the selected events to the programme from such geozone events at time when the programme is scheduled to run on the device during the operating period of the system.

EFFECT: reducing the energy use and extending the battery life in a mobile computing device.
