SUBSTANCE: device includes: an interactive surface formed by a matrix of movable surface elements. Surface elements have a resting position; an oscillatory signal generator configured to generate an oscillatory signal. The oscillatory signal generator is connected to the surface elements by a cable matrix configured to transmit an oscillatory signal to the surface elements. Surface elements have resting position relative to the cable matrix; in which the cable matrix is arranged such that the movement of the surface elements from the resting position changes the oscillatory signal, generating a modified oscillation signal and/or such that the modified oscillation signal causes the surface elements movement from the rest position; in addition, the noted user interface comprises a signal converter that converts the modified oscillatory signal into an electrical signal of the interactive device and/or vice versa.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and reliability of haptic feedback to the user.
